Chinnu Vishwanathan,
Research Scholar

The passion for research began during my postgraduate days at College. By organizing a number of seminars and field studies, my college has provided enormous opportunities for students like me to widen our knowledge on biodiversity and the need to conserve them by sustainable development. This has greatly influenced me and helped in cultivating interest in biodiversity conservation and an urge to know more about the biodiversity of our state and country. Currently I am working on the diversity and distributional patterns of the Molluscs of Ashtamudi Lake, Kerala, under the guidance of Biju Kumar Sir at the Department of Aquatic Biology and Fisheries with my all-time ambition of doing meaningful research in the field of biodiversity and taxonomy.
