Research Associate (current position)
Department of Aquatic Biology and Fisheries, University of Kerala, Kariavattom, Thiruvananthapuram

My interest in fish was a childhood hobby, and I pursued my UG and PG in fisheries due to this deep-rooted passion.

Later, I joined the Department of Aquatic Biology and Fisheries as a project fellow, where I began my journey into research. Subsequently, I had the opportunity to work with many experts in the field of taxonomy, which expanded my knowledge of freshwater aquatic diversity. My research passion resulted in high-quality research articles in peer-reviewed journals, and I was also able to describe some species new to science. I primarily focused on the taxonomy and ecology of freshwater fish, crabs, and prawns. Additionally, I was interested in invasion biology, on which I pursued my PhD.
